CLASSES ON OFFER

I am so super excited to announce that I am teaching Self Mastery and Soul Healing classes at Amber Moon, Beach Road, Gordons Bay every Sunday. There are two classes, one starts at 10am, the other at 1pm. 

Self Mastery and Soul Healing Classes are for those who want to dive deep. It is philosophical and deep, aimed at clearing and lifting emotional baggage and deep healing. There is a lot of process work, emotional cleansing and in depth. We also discuss energy healing tools. Its for those seeking freedom from within wanting to attain enlightenment.

These classes will be weekly and ongoing until the syllabus is complete. The duration of the classes will give us time to really get to know one another and bond on a deep level and I look forward to that experience. Each class will be roughly 2 and half hours long. FASTING - CLEANS EMOTIONS, SPIRIT AND BODY

"Fasting of the body is food for the soul"

I had not fasted for ages, it was something I used to do fairly regularly, but somehow through the last few years lost touch with it. It has been called to my attention to do this for quite some time now and with the new year here and lots of shifts going on inside me the perfect opportunity arrived for me to do a cleanse. So last week I did a three day watermelon juice fast. The rule I follow is: All I drink/eat for three days is watermelon juice. It is a very easy fast to do because watermelon fills you up, so you don't feel deprived or hungry. I also drink water with the fast, because water speeds up any detox reactions in the body to move out. It is very easy to prepare, so you don't spend ages in the kitchen making sure that you are organised for the next drink.
There are two ways to prepare the juice, depending on the equipment you have:

  • Blender: To prepare the juice I cut up watermelon, using only the flesh, and put it in the blender, (seeds and all). If I get bored of the the flavour I add a big knob of ginger or some fresh mint to the mix before I blend. One small watermelon should get you through a day, but it depends on you personally how much you need. Once blended I put the juice into containers into the fridge, and drink when I want to.


  • Another way to prepare the juice, if you have a slow maticating juicer and can get organic watermelon, is to wash the melon, cut up into sizes that will fit through the juicer, (you use everything, skin, flesh and seeds). Juice, store in containers in the fridge and drink when you want. Using the entire fruit has added benefits on the health side, so it is the best option if available to you, but the first options does work very well none the less.


The best way to do a fast easily with the least resistance is to prepare yourself before hand mentally and physically. It is best to cut out certain toxic foods which cause a heavy detox reaction to the body if stopped cold turkey. Wheat and caffeine are the two worst for me personally, especially if you have an intolerance to them, the headache can be super nasty!  The list of what you should try and cut out are as follows:
  • Wheat
  • Caffeine
  • Sugar
  • Dairy
  • Soya
  • Transfats
  • Artificial preservatives, flavourants and colourants
  • Artificial sweetners
  • Heavy consumption of red meat.
It is best to wean yourself off the toxic foods at least two weeks before you start your fast. Stopping caffeine cold turkey if you drink it everyday can really cause painful headaches. So I recommend slow weaning. You can even start a month before the fast depending on your coffee, tea and caffeine filled soft drink in take. 

For the mental preparation side, it is really good to understand why you are fasting and what you would like to gain from it. If you are fasting because you have heard it is healthy to fast, what are the health benefits you are wanting to gain from that? If you are fasting because of weight loss, what is your reason for wanting to loose weight? If you are fasting to move old vibrations out of the energetic system of your being, what are you hoping to achieve for yourself emotionally and spiritually by doing this?

By answering those questions and setting a pure intention to the purpose of your fast, it makes the fast so much easier on you. You remind yourself of the purpose and reason why you are doing what you are doing and then you are more mindful on what you are experiencing and learning from this. For me personally it is like a magic pill to push through and not give up. Fasting with intention is not only powerful for personal results, but it makes the process easy and even enjoyable!

It is good to eat light meals for a day or two before you start the fast, so eat fruit, salads, rice and veggies. I try eat fruit from the time I wake up until midday, then salads, rice and veggies for the rest of the day. Then when you break the fast it is best to gently ease your digestive system back into things by eating light meals as recommended before the fast. If you feel that you need protein, especially after the fast, then chicken breast or grilled fish is recommended.

Everybody is different when it comes to fasting, and I don't believe that fasting for three days or longer is for everybody. The best fast for someone to do personally is dependent on your health status, age, personal needs, mental and emotional state and tolerance levels. This is all vital to take into consideration before you embark on a fast. You should always consult your health care practitioner first before fasting and then decide what the best plan forward will be for you. Even a half day fast is beneficial to the body.   

Fasting has been used through the millennia for A) spiritual transformation and B) physical transformation. People have gained enlightenment through fasting as well as healed themselves from terminal diseases. Fasting is a powerful personal transformation tool, even if only using it to gain more clarity and control over your everyday life and deeper awareness into yourself. 

I found that this was without doubt the easiest fast I have ever done. I had been watching what I was eating for a month before I started and had a very clear intention of the purpose and results I wanted. I have decided to try and do a one day fast every month this year, just to keep the healing momentum going and keep the shifts shifting.

OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW!

I started this new year with a game rather than resolutions. I read about a wonderful technique for energetically letting go of the past and making space  in your life for new exciting things to enter. It is a Feng Shui technique and what you do is get rid of 27 things from your home everyday for 9 consecutive days and if you miss a day, then you start again from the beginning. It can be anything that you get rid of, CD's that you don't listen to anymore or don't resonate with you anymore, DVD's you don't watch, books you don't read, clothes that have just been sitting in your cupboard for years. It can be kitchen things, old cosmetics and medicines, anything that you can think of, it can be broken furniture or piled up old newspapers and egg boxes. 

It is your choice what you want to do with the items, you can give them away, donate them or throw them away, maybe you can even sell some of the stuff and make some extra cash from it, but just get rid of them from your home and your space. You have to physically do the choosing and getting rid of yourself because there is a lot of emotional baggage attached to the process and a lot of positive energy that enters you with the releasing of the things, which you don't want to miss out on, (not the clearing out of emotions or the coming in of positive energy). I also did clearing from my kids room because I am still responsible for their space and so their things directly effect me, but a teenager can do their own space. If you choose to give away and donate the stuff, there is the added reward of giving and being of service to others which is awesome!!!!

Everything is energy and material things hold energy and that energy can and does effect our lives. For example if we are still holding onto a ring which we never use because our granny gave it to us and we feel like we have a sentimental attachment to this thing, but it is literally just sitting in a jewelry box with no use at all (this could maybe get melted down into an item of jewelry which you will love and use). Or it could be an item of furniture that you hate, but you have never bothered to replace because you are to busy or to cheap. Or it could be an old electrical item which broke years ago and will never be repaired and is just sitting in a heap somewhere. Or it could be piles of magazines that you are keeping for a rainy day. Or a collection of art materials that you have no way of using and not used for more than 5 years but hope one day that you will get there. Or chipped crockery. Or stained linen. The energy of our intentions sits in those items. The procrastination, the clutter, the guilt, the fear, the poverty consciousness, the sadness, the shame, the chaos. You name it and the energy is attached to it. If the energy is attached to it, this means when you get rid of it, you clear those energies away from yourself and your home. What utter joy and bliss! In doing the physical act of clearing out the old or unused or unwanted material things, you are clearing out those low vibrations from your own being and the space in which you live. In getting rid of that energy, you are making space for the new, fresh and vital to enter your life. You are making space for your dreams to manifest.

This clearing can be taken to whole other level of learning and growing. I started the game on the 31st of December and finished my nine days yesterday, and I feel absolutely amazing!! I took a few days to really understand how deeply the stuff I own effects me. I really did a lot of introspection along with the clearing and I could see my own pattern of how the "things" are holding me back. I saw my emotional link and how my subconscious programme attached to the idea of having these items had been holding me back, and the excuses and reasons I have made to keep living in a particular way that has not been making me completely happy. It was an excellent exercise to observe myself and see what my ego wanted me to hold onto and why. So on day six of this game I went from 27 items to clearing an entire room of what was not serving me. It was fascinating to see emotions coming up and then the lightness I started feeling of seeing my bedroom transformed into a beautiful living space for myself. So for the last days of the game I went from room to room in my home and got rid of a huge amount of things. It has been awesome. The whole energy of my home has changed. 

Do you keep old medicines because you fear that you may get that illness again? This is willing yourself to get sick again! Chuck those meds out if you are healthy and don't need it anymore! Release the fear and trust the Universe that you won't need it again. Do you keep clothes for when you will loose weight, but it is still sitting in your cupboard after years? Give them away to someone who will get use out of them rather and when you loose the weight, reward yourself with new clothes!!! When, if and maybe keep you burdened with fear. My rule is if I have not needed it for a year then it will be of better use to someone else and if I need it in the future I will simply buy what I need because the Universe has never left me in lack ever and has my back!!!!
